in jdm d15b's? i was always under the assumption they were equivalent to the z6, just in a 1.5 platform

no, the vx has a 1.5 vtec. as the old man said, its an economy motor, even more so than any of the other honda motors.

exactly, d15z1 i believe, but this guy said jdm d15b, two totally different engines.......

yes there is a d15b vtec-e. along with the regular d15b vtec. and then u also have the 3 stage d15b vtec, and the zc sohc vtec,which is mostly equal to the d16z6.
