IF you had to guess, about how many are used on a normal piping set up? I will not be doing the piping hmt style however, someone with experience will be doing it for me.

Well, it depends on how much welding you'll be able to do. In general I would say about six.

I know places like roadraceengineering.com have stuff like that, but it's like $25 or something. What I did is go to pep boys and go to their "exhaust" section. Get a 2" to 2.5" piece of metal that they have and weld or couple the 2.5 side to your charge piping. On the 2" side to 2" turbo outlet, you can either use a 2" coupler (which I don't have yet) or you go to the back of the counter and pick out a radiator hose that has a straight piece to it and is the right size. Cut that and use it for a coupler.
After all of this, you will still save $23 over buying that expensive *** coupler. Don't use any type of homedepot coupler anywhere near the manifold or turbo. It will melt.
