I'm guaging interest in a group buy on intercoolers, or possibly just doing a small run on them.

The college I goto has a full machine/welding shop that I have access to and I just recently met a friend that can weld like a wizard.

If enough people reply to this I'll probably make a run of about 10 and sell them for $100+ shipping.

So here's the question, what dimension should I shoot for?
I can get those volvo intercoolers for hella cheap but the core would only be like 1.25 inches thick and about 15 inches long, this seems a little small though...

would that work? the resulting depth would be 2.5 inches and I'm not sure if that will fit the bumper or not...
I'm just looking to make a "universal" size for honda applications but if 2.5X17/18 sounds right then cool beans.

 

alright how about this? I get the volvo intercoolers hacked to the right size and instead of paying my "friend" to weld up the endtanks I jebweld the ****** on and charger 50+ shipping so long as they're air tight. I think I could pull that off with ease....man i'm drunk
