Can you do z6 at all? Would I be able to put a y8 tranny on a z6 anybody?

All in all, I have to say my transaction was a big hassle. But, to clarify, it was probably mostly my fault.
1st, I have to be a cheapskate (or poor, however you want to look at it) and look for the most inexpensive way to get my car fixed. Justin agreed to sell me his used (spun rod bearing) block since I don't need the internals, just the block. So he has to handle this one differently I guess - there isn't an engine sitting on a crate, ready to go.
It took a long time to ship, but that could partly be my fault since I, 2nd, didn't notify him I had paid via paypal. I assumed he'd see the email, but I guess he doesn't check that email account often.
So he ships it. He emails me to ask if I've rec'd it yet. I call the shipper and they couldn't find my house, and then the guy tells me I owe them $92 for the shipping on delivery. WHA!? We agreed on $100 SHIPPED for the blown block. This is Justin's one big boo-boo. So I email Justin and he tells me he is so sorry and will take care of it. Honestly, I'm getting a little suspicious, but I try to be patient. Then today, in response to another email, he sends me $68, which he explains is everything in his PP account, telling me he will send the rest later. I learned today (called his job and was told he didn't work there anymore - he explained when I spoke with him) that he JUST got laid off. And he still sent me the money...

Bottom line. If I'd just trusted him (like I do that with ANYONE on the internet) I'd have my engine already cause I would have just paid the shipping and waited for him to reimburse me. Justin is a stand up guy. This shortblock deal is better than anything else you will find. And he could probably use the money. So buy an engine already!!!!!!



BTW, don't worry about the rest of the money man. If the engine was that expensive to ship, you should have pulled the crank to shave weight, or raised your price, silly! I hope you find something else soon.

hey d16...just read your email and this post....and again i do appologize...i do thanks you for my concern in my recent personal problems
i did have to handle this one different since it was my personal motor and have never shipped one before...again, im drop shipping my other motors with a company that does this all the time and they make it look easy
i did have some problems sending this one out (what happens when you rely on others)and by clicking one box it made him pay shipping COD...
lesson learned...to all, take your time
also, i have just recently lost my job and this is tasking me majorly financially so if any of you slightly need anything let me know
ive learned if you make a mistake just take care of it ASAP and thats what ive tried to do with this situation with d16tuner...hopefully we can move on

i was looking to buy a tranny... for a y8, i think i messed mine up, it pops 2nd gear at low rps, but when i shift hard it doesnt, its very wierd anyways i was also looking for a bare block with crank only, as cheap as possible, i want to build that one, so i have almost no downtime...any help is apreciated...
