Default FS/Trade polished t3/t04b turbo V-trim $125 as-is - rebuilt - or for smaller +/-

I've got a "bullseye" t3/t04b V-trim.
It's got a DSM exhaust flange and I've got the V-band adapter (in use now) - 2.5".
Good for over 350hp (conservatively)

It's a legitimate turbo - no OBX or SSAutochrome junk.

Original sales receipt for this thing 2 years ago was over $725.
Ceramic hot side, polished compressor.

Sold by slowboyracing, AAP motorsports, JP Autoworks
It has an oversized internal wastegate (38mm, I believe) - it's setup to swing wide and won't boost creep.
.63AR turbo housing, ceramic coated... No marking on the housing or invoice, so I can't confirm.
Compressor side is polished.
2.75 inlet, 2 in outlet.
Oil cooled.
Comes with adjustable actuator.
Supports 400hp. (Bullseye lists 450hp)
Today sells for over $800 polished, ceramic coated, and with actuator. Add another $125 for the V-band.
I had it rebuilt a few weeks ago (new internals, completely balanced) for $400 - again, I have the receipt.
Due to high EGTs (not enough timing) it's going to need to be rebuilt again..I'm willing to sell it rebuilt, sell it as-is, trade it or trade it after rebuilt. I will *only* send it back to the company that makes these for a rebuild, no junk. It's on my truck right now, you can check it out, hear it run - I'm *very* particular about my stuff and this is going to need a new thrust bearing, but the rest of it should be 100% fine.. No damage at all. No in-out play, just marginal side to side. I'm not selling it due to damage, I'm selling it to go to something that's smaller and more matched to a 2.4L that puts down less than 250hp.

You can buy a completely show polished turbine housing for this in stainless.

Comes with oil drain + -3an feed.
Email d_ginther@hotmail.com

Sales options:
1) Sell as is today for $125. See condition below.

2) Sell it rebuilt by bullseye for $525. You'll get the rebuilt receipt. This is about $300-$450 off of what the turbo and v-band adapter would cost you.

3)I'd like to trade it, +/- cash for a [b]SMALLER[b] T3 flanged turbo. I'm at 8.5:1 CR and I'll never run this thing into the kind of boost or flow it can produce. Something along the flow lines for a super-60, HAS to be t3 flange, and must be adaptable to V-band.

How exactly was it "damaged" again? I have a .48/.60 garrett t3 from a t-bird, but it needs a rebuild as well (oil seal shot) if you're interested in a trade + cash.

It's got excessive size to side play, meaning the bearings are trashed. It's center section is new (about a week old) - I suspect it was damaged by high EGTs and dino oil - or not enough oil in general. Turns fine, but it's shaft play is excessive.

Send me a photos of your t-bird turbo.. Any idea of what size the inlet outlet are?

So I just called and I'm having this rebuilt with a new compressor turbine (just to be sure) and an upgraded 360 degree thrust bearing.. Get it while it's fresh and unused! Make me an offer - A t3 series turbo with anything I can bolt a 2.5" down pipe on to really peaks my interest.. I need to support 250-300hp (peak).

Here's a pic of the t3...
It's one of the one's with the strange inlet and outlet flange on the compressor. I think that your turbo may be a bit steep for my budget now that you're getting it rebuilt, but if you're still interested in the garrett let me know, I'll off it cheap since it needs a rebuild.

I assume it can be adapted to a V-band setup?
So turbos needing a rebuild can cost $50 to rebuild or $400 to rebuild (parts). Is there scarring on the compressor or exhaust turbine? Any marks on the housing?

I'm rebuilding this one and upgrading to a 360 degree thrust bearing. I've also ordered a new compressor turbine for it just to be sure. It ran me around $230 just for the parts...

Let me know what kind of shape yours is in - or if you'd consider trading it in similar condition (rebuilt w/ 360 thrust).

There's no marks on any of the housings, no chipped or bent blades. Pretty much what happened was I bought the turbo off someone semi-local to me, and it leaked oil into the exhaust housing since day one. It had some slight shaft play but not alot, so I figured too much oil psi. Turned oil psi down to about 10psi at idle and 45-50psi at full boost, but it still leaked. I got bent out of shape because of it, disassembled the turbo completely, and found that the return line was pretty much coked solid, so all the oil was being forced out the oil seal. I ended up cleaning the center section out, and went to reassemble it without replacing anything, marked out the orientation of the wheels, but forgot to mark the orientation of the compressor backing plate :1 I probably could have run it and might have been ok, but it wasn't a chance I wanted to take. I can take some better pics of it if you want, give you a better look at it. It also has the standard t3 5-bolt exhaust pattern, so yes...you can adapt it to a v-band and use either an internal or external wastegate on it.

I just dropped $230 in parts into this t3/t04b. Cut me a deal on a solid rebuild and we'll talk. I can provide receipts, so you know it's not a geigh "rebuild" where someone puts in a $2 o-ring.

Hey man, I have a .63/.60 from a Nissan 300zx single turbo car...specs are .63 A/R turbine housing, .52 A/R compressor housing, .60 trim compressor wheel...I bought it from Garn here on the classified, he said it was rebuilt 7,500 miles ago...It seems to have no shaft play that I can tell(haven't been yanking on the wheel or anything)...There are pics of the turbo here still I believe..I'm fixin' to go try and bump it so u can check out the pics...I'm wanting to keep my exhaust housing, I BELIEVE(I could be wrong) that this will work with your v-band setup...I would like to get your compressor housing ALREADY rebuilt...holla back at me if ur interested... hasty_travis@yahoo.com
