it's an 89, but a late 89. It was made in november, and i was told most late model 89's were still chippable. If you know of a way to find out if it's chippable let me know and i'll find out for u.

 

The number on the side will say 37820-PM-% where the % sign is a 3 or 4 letter/number code.

A09: chippable - from '90 Civic/CRX Si)

C00: chippable

A040: not chippable (sort-of) - from '88 CRX Si


I got this info from the wikipedia on www.pgmfi.org as well as my own ecu's (I have a PM6 from both the 88-89 and 90-91 varieties).

ok i checked it out and it's chippable! the numbers on the side are 37820-PM6-A09
