Why bmw all of a sudden? Clean cars I admit but my roommates girlfriend has one that has messed up quite a bit since she got it lol.

Buddy just got a '99 325i with 62K miles on it for $8k. Anything nice. As long as it's a 2000 and below Honda it'll be boosted, but I'm kind of growing out of the scene just because it's not cool to tow a car home due to turbo seals, or replace a HG from stretched studs, or stare at gauges to make sure your good, to chatter that 6-puck and filled mounts, to explain your ears ring because the turbo is off and the 3" is bigger than a 'vette exhaust, to lose your sideskirt because your car is so low it bottomed out on snowy side streets, to have A/C......

The list goes on. It's not a race car, and because of that I realized having a low 14/high 13 second DD is dumb. Race car cool, but DD is for the birds and I think everyone will learn this at some time or another just takes a few mishaps 60miles from home and a NEED to drive that only vehicle to school.

Honestly, I'd love to sell my car and get something nicer, but the money/time/effort I have in it won't bring squat so I'll be stuck with my car until end of school which I planned on so I'm cool with it, but first year in college and already had to get it towed and had 2 smoking issues burying cars behind me and having people pass and stare. 5 years, God willing, I want to get a used STI. :y Anyway, decent deal on the Honda, buy up people.

Yeah, I understand what you're saying. Fortunately I haven't had any mishaps yet, so I'm still stuck on having a fast DD :) I am leaning towards getting a "nicer" vehicle. I like the TL and the new BMWs and Lexus stuff...still want something "quicker" than what most of those cars are though. The teg will be something I can make "nicer" and still be quick...hopefully. Sounds like you've just had bad luck with your car. If I had the same things happen, I'd probably be turning from the scene too.
