FS: complete turbo setup for ED/EF chassis...*back up for sale*

5 Attachment(s)
Here it is...my homemade setup for sale. I'm having way too many motor issues right now to even deal with it. Kit includes homemade cast steel log manifold, MHI 14b/7cm^2 turbo (small 16g for all practical purposes) with very little shaft play, 38mm ching-chong wastegate used less than 1 month (3.63psi spring), '04 evo8 fmic, all charge pipes (painted black), T-bolt clamps and couplers, 3" downpipe that goes to 2.5" after the bend with a flex section, knock-off ssqv bov, and I'll even toss in my homemade mbc. Only thing you really need are injectors and your ecu. It fits 88-91 ED/EF chassis with STOCK crossmember and is currently mounted to a b16, although you could modify the manifold to accept a d-series flange. Here's pics of it still mounted on my car atm, will be ripping it all off tonight and tomorrow. I'd like to get at least $400+shipping, but shoot me some offers if you think it's worth less.
I'm located in northeast PA (near Scranton), zip is 18407. I've got plenty of vouches too. ;)

If you really want this and you're low on cash, trades are acceptable. I'm pretty much just looking for LS/vtec parts...header, cams, any kind of crap like that.

Thanks man. I kinda wish I didn't have to do this, but I've gotten to the point I just want to drive the car again. :'(

Keep in mind the stock wastegate section of the exhaust housing is welded shut, so you need an external wg unless you swap the housing. Still interested?

Dude just try changing your head gasket first before you do this.

Lol...too late, I already took the turbo off and swapped all my n/a crap back on. Been driving it for about 45 minutes now...and however much slower it was (and it def. was much slower) it was still 45 minutes of bliss. :)

Interested in the wastegate. Let me know if you decide to part out.

BTW what were those T's and elbows you used for the log mani? Were they but welds?

Re: FS: complete turbo setup for ED/EF chassis

wat kind of issues are you having .. purgin.. like your water gets pushed out the radiator and then the ---- over heats i had taht before never figured out wat was wrong after 2 gaskets replaced and head resurfaced once then just sold the car n/a.. this was on my old eg it had a y8 block in it and z6 head..

Cast steel piping. They're used out here for some gas line stuff, so they had some lips around each edge of the pipes I ground down and butt welded together. Because it's cast steel I heated the piping with a torch first before I welded it on the highest amp setting on my mig. The welds aren't the prettiest, but the manifold is strong as hell...tested it during construction by bolting it to the motor and lifted on it with an engine hoist. It ended up picking the entire front end of the car off the ground, so after a second weld pass I was satisfied it was strong enough. ;)

I think it's probably a head gasket that's leaking under boost. The first couple of weeks it ran like a raped date, then overheated once. Re-burnt a basemap I was using and it ran fine for a while afterwords up until about 2 weeks ago where it started doing it every day.

Re: FS: complete turbo setup for ED/EF chassis

Well I few of the guys ive tuned cars for and I went to the dragstrip today. One car was an H22 swapped hatch and the other was an older gsr swapped hatch. The H was running 14.2 and the gsr was running 14.5 L0L and my boosted accord was running 14.6's that was the best I could do and I got about 20 passes.

I'd be willing to part it out if I can sell everything pretty quickly, but the wastegate's already been spoken for if it does get parted.

What a vagina, you couldnt fix the problems? Probably would have taken less work to fix it then pull it all off.

Not really...took me about 45 minutes to pull it all off :) I'll eventually do another turbo, just not in this chassis :P Besides, I still have my WRX to ---- around with...maybe an sti turbo swap or something...plenty of potential to be had from that motor.

Back up for sale...local guy flaked out last minute. :P
Everything but the wastegate is available...wastegate's traded to Marcus. ;)
Also added is my 450cc dsm injectors and an autometer boost gauge...would like to trade the 450's for 290's or 310's if possible or will sell for $50 shipped. $25 shipped on the guage.
