AEM retails for over $1000. It has some cool features like coil on plug control and boost control per gear and some other ----. Brian Arbogast used it on his 500whp 1.6L Z6 with traction control and ---- and was getting 10s... I think 10 flat even. It's awesome, but good luck selling that ---- here, you'll need it.

Really? The only coil on plug I've seen was with AEM. AEM's traction control really works though and it's awesome.

It's easy to distribute the IGO signal to individual coils via a daisy chain of J-K flip flops, or better yet a CPLD. Timing is effectively retarded in the higher rpms by the setup time involved, but nothing that can't be tuned around.

So how come people are getting 650+ out of 15 year old stock distributor systems without hassle? COP is a fancy visual layout, nothing more.
