dont know if it smokes but it dosent spin freely. What's with all the ?'s about the rebuild. POINT BLANK it's going to need a rebuild if you want it on your car. Obviously I wouldnt be saling it for $40 if it didnt.

 

Do you have the two bolt discharge flange off that turbo.The one that goes on the exit side of the compressor housing of the turbo.
