Shipping Firearms
Special Procedures for Shipping Firearms
Use These UPS Services for Your Firearm Shipment
Firearms will be transported only between licensed importers, licensed manufacturers, licensed dealers, and licensed collectors, as defined in the United States Gun Control Act of 1968, law enforcement agencies of the United States or of any department or agency thereof and law enforcement agencies of any state or department agency, or political subdivision thereof, and between persons not otherwise prohibited from shipping firearms by federal, state or local law and when such shipment complies with all applicable federal, state and local laws.

I'm pretty sure a shotgun is still considered a firearm, unless that has also changed?

Just trying to save someone some jail time. :P My luck some <insert any race besides white here> will get ahold of my shotgun and shoot like 12 U.S soldiers and I would be blamed for their deaths all because I wanted to ship my shotgun in a box without telling anybody it was a shotgun. Worst case scenario of course. :P

hmmm weird i work for ups and i see rifles shotguns all the time and typically they are from person to person and not from a business to a person. I suppose they could just be licensed.

There are no loopholes when it comes to guns. You could break it down into every single piece, but the reciever still has to go through someone with a FFL. Everything else can be shipped without restirction.
