I will be finishing up another Crossmember and ready to ship by monday. Any takers?
150+shipping(usually 30 or so)

I will be posting on Ebay if no on wants it here.

EG Rad mounts I have made once for slow90hatch. I was a little unhappy with how low the rad sat below the crossmember, but it works, clears the hood, stands upright, but requires a slim fan or mounting/converting your stock one as a pusher

This design is also available. This one has a D-series mount. I will be playing around with a B-series mount this week.

Might be interested in the MSD unit. But more interested in just selling. I broke and going to school all summer!!(Engineering that why I can Solidmodel and Cosmos Stress Analyze these things) (no working for but weekends and making parts!) PM me.

I edited with a cost.

Re: Crossmembers for EF's

The more I think of it, the more I want the MSD. I was eventually going to get the Mallory because of it's Pill-less design, and I have used one on other cars before, but this might be another idea. Specially seeing as it is designed for SC's

Re: Crossmembers for EF's

Any pics of one installed in a car yet ? Have many have you sold ? Any positive feedback on someone that uses your bar ?

What material do you use ? What is it's thickness ? Any warranty ?

Any chance you make one with a dseries front mount location and eg radiator mounting points ?

Good Day,
RH.

Re: Crossmembers for EF's

I have sold 3 to people on this site and 1 on ebay. slow90hatch likes his. ! is waiting shipment and CivicZC is the other.

They are made out of 1/8 wall mild steel, either 1x1 or 1.25x1.25. As for warrenty. I'm just a guy who make these, not a major company like full-race with the backing up. Thats why my prices are lower then theres.

as for EG rad and d-series engine, yup.

PM me. This post will be locked soon I believe.

Re: Crossmembers for EF's

these crossmembers are not for performance reasons???

N1ghtM0nkey 03-25-2005 01:43 AM

Re: Crossmembers for EF's

Let me know as soon as you have that B-Series cross member done.

bumblezc 03-25-2005 11:10 AM

Re: Crossmembers for EF's

What type of specs are you looking for? I've already state what the are made and such. Pay me for them? If you want specs for building them yourself, There is no real secret, just research and make prototypes to see what works best. You have to get you radius arm positions and angle proper to ensure no binding.

As for "not for performance reasons???"
What do you mean? A crossmember eliminate rubber bushings, which under heavy load compress, allowing you suspension to move in ways that cause wheel hop. By using heim joints, the lower control are is set to where you place it. No more laterail motion causing wheel hop. This will increase traction for better 60' times. Also for over handling, due to the swing of the heim being greater then the compression of a rubber bushing, the suspension has greater articualation.

Anything else.

For a b-series mount, I was going to use my buddy's crx to fabricate the mount on, but I did not come back from the paint shop like it was intended too.

like specs to where everything is at, centers of holes, where each of the bars needs to be, measurements for the eg radiator mounts, all of those numbers. I can't measure things on something worth ----, but I can measure materials fairly well, that's why I ask.

bumblezc 03-25-2005 05:18 PM

Re: Crossmembers for EF's

I don't know any measurements. I made 1 perfect fit bar once on my car which is parked for the winter, took that bar, and made a jig. That's how each bar is made. So I can't really give you measurement. Every time you cut a peice of metal, it has to be fenesed.

I did. There's a "commercial add" rule that says there's no free advertising for endless product. I've already discussed this with the seller. Everything is cool.
