anyone ever blown one of these up? i have one and the cold side is ------- glued/epoyed together and i have beaten the ---- out of it and it's still fine...

Everyone blows them up lol. Well the seals go bad at least. I doubt they literally explode, but all the hokey *** components can only hold on for so long. That's why you see fucktards on egay trying to pass them off as genuine Garretts that "just need new seals" or assclowns that claim they have "Garrett Internals". The fact that the compressor housing is GLUED ON is a huge red flag.

I can't believe you have a meow turbo that's held up to any sort of real boost or thrashing. I'd think the 1st second the EGT's started to climb that ****** would be toast. Not to mention ANY oil starvation problems i.e. priming it wrong, ghetto rigged lines, return line too small, improper installation etc will grenade any chances it has of holding up. What if underhood temps get too hot? Wouldn't the glue start to melt and the housing just fall off? It's strapped to a ------- 1500 degree hotside for Godsakes! Seriously, how long has this "indestructable" knock-off been on your car and at what boost?

I guess your glued together turbo that was made by a 5 year-old girl for $0.03 an hour must be the one exception. Maybe it was blessed by Buddha himself while it was over in Ching Chang Clang Meow Pshhh land.

haha thats funny, yea back in college (4yrs ago) i got one for free from rich, i helped him redesign one of his crx manifolds so it wouldnt hit the block or rad. im gonna use mine till it blows but the car is just for racing/ taking to the clubs and stuff so it only has about 600 miles on the turbo, but theyre hard earned miles.
