Less than 0.25% of the users on HMT have any experience with run of the mill 24.5" slicks, much less 26" units. They aren't equipped to judge how good those slicks are. I, however, have a thousand times the experience with large slicks than YOU ever will, so I suggest you shut your pie hole when I say that the slicks YOU stated as dry rotted are good for throwing away and nothing more.
