what do you mean by needs syncro ?? i heard of these trannies having problems not staying in gear is that what the problem is ?

 

no it prolly grinds into fifth and prolly doesnt like reverse either 150 is a fair price for a tranny that needs to be rebuilt

 

spanks that was what i was thinkin and it doesnt grind into fifth it dont go into fifth

 

more then a syncro if it doesnt go into gear im sure teeth are gone off the gear or something else is wrong other then the syncro

 

I have a 99 si trans with no 5th or reverse. Took it apart and the sychros literally had to be seperated by hammmer. Oh yeah, the ISB was also in pieces, which is what may have caused the synchro carnage. BTW, I paid $120 for it.
