Also, b16sellout, you know if you've had the car less than 30days or put less than 1000 miles on it, you can take the car back nothing goes against you...
the dealership will just sell it as a demo car then.

call the finance place.
the dealer doesnt wanna deal with it...thats why they said ---- off....trust me, i know these things.
the salesman and the finance officer will have to give up their profits.
-bacially the dealership is taking a huge loss. -thats why they dont want it back or deal with it.

yup we have something similar here in Canada. Within 30 days you can return the car penalty free. It's called a Cooling-Off period because of the way some sales people can force people into signing a deal, then a week later you come to your senses and can return it.

Welp, look man. I dont give a ---- if its your ---- buddys mother, father, sister...who ever the hell it is. Car salesman will do whatever they can to sell a car. A car salesman #1 client base is your relatives and friends. Easy ------ market. You probably told your brother "im looking for a new car" and your brother said "Dam, I know exactly who to talk to."
see how that works?
Its a cut throat fend for yourself kinda business. You take advantage of whoever you can whenever you can. I would almost guarantee he made a profit on you. From what im hearing the Colbalt isnt doing so hot in the market. With that, the dealer probably got some sort of "dealer cash" from GM. The dealers can then sell vehicles at sticker/invoice cost yet still turn a decent profit when the customer is thinking that they are getting a hell of a deal and the salesman isnt making ----. When really, they could have come down below the sticker.
At my dealer, we would get around 10g's a month in dealer cash. There were 8 salesman, the manager would devide the cash up between the 8 of us and then I could sell a car at sticker price, and still make $600- or so on the deal.
See how it works?
So my advice...
The dealer is loosing out on that dealer cash as well when they take the car back. Call the finance people.
