Sorry Complex, '03 model WRX is an ej20t, not an ej25. If you knew anything about Subarus you would know this.

doesnt ------- matter, its the same shortwalled piston issue regardless. the gen2 ej25's made this famous, you can't find 5 subarus randomly and not have one or five with piston slap.

I have an '04 Wrx and there's no piston slap. Gen2 ej25's made hg issues famous more than piston slap though. :P

 

the guys have a tally going, for the month they've done two piston jobs and 3 hg's, with 2 hg's done today.

 

haha we have 4 subaru techs at my work all 4 were doing headgasket jobs We tell them the piston slap is normal
