one of my friends is into audio and his 87 has mechanical issues with the original d15. I plan on swaping in my d16y7 out of my totaled 99 hatch.

im about to go check it out, dont care how you take it but free CRX=win!!!

any things to look out for on the swap? i was thinking obd0-obd1 conversion. how hard will the swap be wiring wise. I have both the stock crx harness and my civic harness, any way to just swap the y7 straight in with the y7 harness?

the car has a problem with the head and wont run so i plan on just swaping the engines.

 

yo will need custom mounts or run a full 86 integra drivetrain/brake setup





Once you lookat the engine bay/mount setup you will understand you cant just swap in that motor/trans into a 1st gen crx

 

well that kinda blows.... might just hunt down a head and have a beater for winter

buy a 86-89 wrecked integra and swap everything over. Its not a total loss. d16a1=basically a dohc zc minus some zc upgrades.

crx turned out to be a TURD

kid tried to turn it into a T top and backed out. he "fixed" if with liberal amounts of bondo. not even worth it for free lol
