Well going to be rebuilding a hy35 for my buddy. Where is the best place to get a kit. I found lots on ebay for $40 or just pay the $80 for genuine holset kit on ebay. Has anyone ever used a ebay rebuild kit with sucess?

 

Most turbos "SHOULD" not be rebuilt at home!

rebuild it yourself with only genuine manufacturer rebuild kits, BUT send the shaft wheels and chra to a company for balancing and PROPER assembly if you are that much of a tightwad cheapass

 

WTF are you slow, can you not read! Rebuilding a turbo is like rebuilding a motor. One must check to make sure all the spec are where they should be. If it where as easy to rebuild a turbo as you may think everyone and there mother would be doing it.

Never said you never rebuilt one. Im just trying to get peoples opinions on the cheaper kit. Was leaning towards genuine holset kit. I mean for extra $40 not worth the risk of being junk.
