Default D16a6 Built buy D15b1

ok this is the story. i had a block sent to the machine shop to get cleaned up. it came back and i place it in my storge at moms house. DONT YOU KNOW SHE DECIDES TO CLEAN OUT THE STORAGE AND THROWS EVERYTHING AWAY! SO ALL I HAVE IS AN BARE A6 BLOCK.

I just got a d15 b1 from a friend like 30 mins ago for 20 bucks. i wanted to know is it possible tp build my a6 using the d15 parts. minus the crank and rods or should i just try to get another thats d16 complete.

I have the answer, it starts at $1000 to get a D15 crank into a D16 block.

im not trying to put a d15 crank in a d16. i am trying to use the main caps from a d15 in a d16 and the d15 head on the d16 block if the only diff between the d15 and d16 non vtec motor is the stroke and cam. it would be pointless for me to spend a 1000 on forcing the d15 crank in an a6 block.

caps are different sizes.

To have the D15 cap machined, then the cap and block line bored.....about $800
