Default Circuit City = shady business

Basically today they were having a stupid sale for a Samsung 50" Plasma and Xbox 360 for $999, 36 months 0% interest....When I went to buy the thing, their website was taken down for about 4 hours but when it came back up, the sale was still there. Instead of just taking the deal down, they left it up except marked the Xbox bundle out of stock EVERYWHERE in the US despite the fact many stores have the bundle in stock right now. Why they didn't just take the deal down is beyond me. Instead they leave it up, yet mark an item clearly in stock in certain stores as out of stock just so they don't have to give this deal out. ------- CC.

CC's warranty service is owned by CC, run by CC, but called something else so that when you try to deal with them CC refers you to the other company. There's zero communication between the two "companies." They basically waste time juggling the customer around so the customer eventually gives up. If they don't they do shoddy repair work and usually break something else in the process (usually keyboards for laptops and even refurbed HHDs which fail).

Circuit City isn't going out of business(not yet anyways), they filed chapter 11, which allows them to hold off creditors but continue operations while they reorganize.

i just spent a few minutes reading their policies....and it says that you can get the same price in the stores that they post online. Thats including packages and sales, rebates, etc. So if youre sure they have the exact same stuff in stock locally, just go in there. I think I'm going to check it out tomorrow.

Well when that happens they'll shut down any stores that aren't making any money. Basically attempt to trim down any money losing operartions.
