hey everyone ! im new to the forum - ford focus tuning help needed !!
my name is nathan , im from east canada and i have a ford focus zetec motor i would like to apply boost to. i want to make a home made kit for my focus .. to show people it CAN be done ! and it would be a REALLLLY fun project to do it all myself bottom up. i understand the basics of turbos , i have a 90's talon AWD tsi built top to bottom .. but thats my toy and its a little old . time to start on the focus ! the talon was already turbo .. so it was to easy
ok to the question !!! So .. what do i need to do , engine management wise? how can i get around all the BIG DOLLAR flasher tools and such?
i can easily turn a wrench and fabricate parts. but i know there is more involved with tuning.. and im turning to you guys , since you DIYers have done it all already!!
what do i do? where do i start... i need a shopping list huh? lol

THE answer to all boosted Focus questions.. http://www.focusfanatics.com/forum/f...splay.php?f=44
There are quite a few boosted focis on that site.. some pushing 400hp+
Seriously though, do you think the Zetec in a Focus is worth boosting?. It can be done.. but you can go faster for cheaper in other cars. Likewise, why I got rid of my Focus.
