Cam gears not lining up on ls/vtec

Ok
- b18b bottom
- b16a head
- b18c5 cams
- b16a cam gears

Dont have everything fully tightened down, just wondering whats up with this. Will it fix after i tighten down the cam holders to spec?

you line them up as close as you can when you are putting the belt on line up one the put the belt on it then line th other up and slip the belt on it. done

if you put an allen wrench in the holes in the cam, it will keep them from turning when you don't want them to.

make sure you've got the right belt/water pump

why do you have v-tec cams in a non vtec head

like said. put a punch or a allen in the cam cap to hold the cams in place while you do all this stuff. Makes it much better.

Think i got it. I have all the right parts, gsr water pump, gsr oil pump, gsr belt. Just never ran into that before. Thanks fellas.

Everything is tightened down and i mocked up the manifold to check it.
