ok so i got the motor in the car and it ran for a few minutes now it wont start. it acts like it wants to start. but doest.

so i have read and read and read.

seeing as its a obd2 motor in a obd2 chassis do i need to do the ckf bypass trick. im using a obd1 ecu chipped with crome.

i have drained the gas tank. put 7 or so gallons of 93 in there.

checked hte fuel filter and it is good.

i have spark and hte injectors a firing also.

i have added grounds in different places. it just doesnt help.

last thing ima do is pull hte harness and buy a new one. so any ideas before i spend more money.

 

and you dont have any CEL's?

 

yea buts its for a vtec. cuz my ls map doesnt do ---- for it for some reason.

also sometimes when i turn the key on hte fuel doesnt prime but then i turn the motor over a few times then cut it off hten back on and hte fuel pump primes. wats up with that. im think ground but ive checked and rechecked them.

about the cel. i started the car about a week ago but it would only rev to 4 k. but as soon as u cut the car off it wouldnt start again. go burn another chip for it it would. now it wont start up at all. only turn over and tease me.

If you get a code for VTAK that means you have a VTAK ecu.

Disable da VTAK.
