ok so i have a 89 crx with a dohc zc with the standard mods i/e/h. well my problem is that right now it is running alittle hot just above the halfway line on the gauge. i used to have a crx with the factory motor and that thing was always under the half way line so what im wondering is does the zc run hotter than the d16a6 or do i have a problem. it not overheating or steming or anything just running a little hot. i have my turbo and everything waiting to be put on but i dont want to throw it on there without figuring out the heating situation. what would i be able to do to lower my temperature of my coolant. maybe a new radiator? i was just checking to see if anyone else has had to deal with this problem

 

Are you running the same coolant sensor as before or the one that came with the new engine..

Could be just out of calibration due to differences..

 

+1 i would try a different coolant sensor and see what happens

its the small one with only one wire

 

Change your thermostat and see if that helps.
Sometimes they stick half shut.

 

Are you sure its not half open?
