560 I had no idea it was that bad. Been reading on the net and I've seen that the biggest thing dropping my score is a charge off I had with SCBandT bank back in 07. It was only $150!!! ----.

I've been looking online and I see alot of websites are recommending Lexington Law Firm to help get rid of negative things on your credit report. Anyone used them before?

This sucks cause I was hoping to buy a house coming january but I don't know if I'll even get approved with that score.

 

take care of the charge yourself. Lawyers are legal scammers

I can tell you all you need to know to get your credit fixed. You can get a loan for a house with that score. If you could get it up to around ~580 you would be golden. Where did you get that score from? Is it an actual FICO score? Anything other than FICO is worthless.

BTW, here is a FREE site that gives you your Transunion "FAKO" score. It's a worthless score, but it gives you a very general idea of what your credit score looks like.

nope and you can dispute that chargeoff for free thru equifax transunion and i forget the other one. I just disputed somthin on mine they took that ---- right off. my score is 780 but dont have enough credit history for it to matter.

 

If you paid a debt off, will it be removed or stay on there and show it was paid? Will disputing it get it removed?

 

just did credit karma it showed 690

 

So how do I go about getting these negative things taken off my report?

I can dispute the charge-off but what do I say?

The only other directly negative things I have are a couple accounts that I made late payments on. Is there anyway to get those off?

I also have a $2100 car loan that I will be paying off shortly so maybe that should help a little.
