Trans problems

Os so a friend calls me up the other night. He told me his trans is making a really loud noise every time he makes a right turn. Does any one know what it could be

How can he say its the tranny? Maybe it's the axle or bearings or a dog.

i vote for cv joint. i think my passenger side is going out to!? weird because i just replaced that axle about 4 years ago.

He has drive shaft 2.9 axles. He had pulled both and tryed to known working axles and still make a clank type sound when he turns to the right. I really have no idea what it could be
