DA ball joints???
You might be able to get away using a pickle fork. Otherwise you'll probably need a two jaw puller.
I used a press one time and man was it a bitch to position the wheel bearing cast piece in the press. Never again.

Hammer works fine for getting them on. It's getting them out that can be a bitch. That's why I said use a two jaw, or a pickle fork.
Actually, to get old one out I've heated the hub with a torch and used a hammer. That works too.

torch combined with a pickle fork and hammer to get them out. Press it in by using an airgun to drive a ball joint press which i rented for free from a local auto parts store. good luck, i've spent many an hour ------- around with balll joints.
