I need a new trans for my car, currently have a 91 si trans. a guy contacted me and is selling sohc zc trans on the low,i cant find any information as to whether its the same as my Si, i want to make sure my current axles etc will work with it. im pretty sure the sohc zc doesnt use an intermediate shaft.

 

Its different and same at the same time. BTW make sure it is the small axle kinda in not you will needed a half shaft/ teg axles.

 

in reality its most likely not a sohc zc non vtec transmissions those are very rare has 90 percent of sohc zc'swere auto's in integras



if its from jap land its most likely from a carbed sohc d15b



whats the code on the case at the fill hole that will tell all

 

It could be a dohc zc trans.

 

could be has well there were alot of different l3 trans out there and most dont know how to tell what is what



if it uses the half shaft then that helps

 

Thats ture, and you can always throw a crx si final in it for super closer gearing.
