hey guys i know i'm new here and i shouldn't be asking for any favors yet, but i bought a 14b off this guy and after a week of him not replying to my emails asking if they gave him a tracking number i found his myspace acct.
so i email him on myspace so i can see if he reads it or not.
he replied back on day 7 telling me he has not sent it out yet. i asked him if he could just put the money back in paypal and he said yeah, but he has to wait for it to clear his bank. now 6 days later i sent him another email through myspace and told him to either send me the turbo by saturday (tomorrow) or put the money back in my paypal. he is on myspace right now not reading my email.
i paid $135 for a fresh rebuilt 14b and this ****** is not replying to me

This should be stickied somewhere.

Call your credit card company. Tell them you ordered a part online and the person has no intention in sending you the item. They will then file a dispute where paypal will most likely contact his credit card company and they will transfer your funds to you and he will be stuck with the loss and a charge back fee. Credit card companies generally get your money back. Paypal generally won't do anything unless you get the actual CC involved.

INQUISITION:
i have filed a dispute through paypal and sent him another email.
i used my debit card through paypal can i still get my money back through them?
i've done this with a visa before but not a mastercard debit card

 

Your debt card has a Visa/Mastercard logo right? You don't punch in your pin number when you order? If so, then you are using a credit card not a debit card and you get backed by Visa/Mastercard.

One thing to watch out is if you have your paypal account tied to your checking account, you may be paying with your checking account rather than your credit card. Make sure you pay everything with your credit card that way you have extra insurance.

Forget paypal, call your CC company and file a chargeback. You'll have your money back in a couple of days most likely.

You have to put effort forth to have paypal tie to your bank account. You need to fill in your bank account number, routing number, and a few other things and then they need to confirm all of this. If you didn't do this, then you paid by credit card and don't have anything to worry about.
