Oil pick up tube swap?

The oil pan and pick up tube are junk on my Z6, can I take those two parts off a D15B8 and bolt them up to the Z6?

I thought that was the case as long as you used the same series pick up as pan.

Thats what I was always told you can use any but just match the oil pan to the pick up...why not just look up part numbers on www.hondaautomotiveparts.com
