Did a compression test yesterday....

D16Z6


120-----90------90-------120



30 psi difference = not good? You think I should boost this bitch anyways?

Yeah, thats a 25% difference, I think you'd want the cylinders within 10% of each other. Do some preventative maintenance first.

screw the percentage differences that motor is not in good shape at all. Normal for a d16z6 is 180-190 per cylinder


anything below 150 is a damaged motor somewhere

+1 are you sure your gauge is somewhat reputable and you blocked the throttle open for 4-5 cranks? Also make sure all the plugs are out, lotta guys ---- this up.

Wow yeah, I have an Ls/Vtec, I didn't know what a Z6 is supposed to have but I think I'm somewhere in the 210-220 range across all cylinders.
That sucks.

d series should be 180+
b vtec=200+
b non vtec=180+



those are healthy motors that wil enjoy raping and warming up off the rev.
