I have a sylvania like 25" tv but i lost the remote. i can't get to the input screen with the remote i have so i can't play my game systems or my dvd player. before you ask, i have tried every code in the book and done the auto search function. all the codes it finds wont put it on the line in channel. Any body know where i can either buy a replacement remote or a really good universal that will allow me to go to the line in channel?

search google for oem replacement? or get a new tv? we're gonna need new ones for 09

i had the same issue with a Sony TV i had. then i bought a sony universal and it works perfectly.

 

Just try a different universal remote. My home theater one wouldn't work for my TV, but the 360 one would. This is crazy, but when you look at packaging for the remotes, it usually lists what brands it's compatible for. All you need to do is find a universal remote (walmart) and see if it's compatible with your TV. :P

If you have a windows mobile phone with an IR port, you can also install a universal remote control program.

 

yea, diff brand might work. Some just dont like certain brands...you can call the 1800 # from sylvania and they will send u one....or...get any other sylvatia remote from a similar tv...they are interchangeable...
