I would but I know how squirrels are as pets. I love animals (2 cats, 3 dogs) (1 cat and 2 dogs were rescues - the best kind) plus my wife is a veterinarian.

I've had ground squirrels are and a friend has a gray squirrel as a pet. They're extremely social animals and therefore require a lot of interaction, more than we can afford to give right now. We had to give up our 2 prairie dogs because we just didnt have enough time to give them the attention they needed (3-4hrs a day out of the cage). Sucked *** but they're better off now

 

Where are you located? I'd love a squirrel for a pet. Apartments I'm looking at only allow small pets, and my mom used to have a squirrel a long time ago, so it'll be a kick for her too.
