damage head

I bought a complete d16y8 head from a local for $100, but was told is was in great condition.

either im missing somthing but i think the valves are supposed to open...

the cam is still in the head. you dont need to remove it like a B-series head... so, whats that mean? good chance that the cam is gonna be holding some valves open....

head is probably fine...

yuppers.. wipe those valve faces down with a clean rag too. looks like the one has a slight chip on it but clean it up and that will tell you
