How do you know if you are a pirate?

the eyepatch law is wrong. pirates dont wear eyepatches cause they only have one eye. they wear them cause they need to keep one eye in the dark so when they jump down into the lower levels of a ship they are overtaking, they switch the eyepatch so they can see in the dark with the eye that was under the patch
