D Series Shootout - Ohio - August 26th 2007
IMPORT FACE OFF ~ D-SERIES QUICK 8/16 ~ August 26, 2007
Import Face Off is holding an import/sport compact event at National Trail Raceway, Sunday August 26th 2007. At our request (Ohiohonda members), they have agreed to hold a D-series shootout in addition to their normal race programs. The shootout is open to any Honda with a D-series engine, provided it complies with entry rules.
Entry Rules:
Heads up, pro tree, 3 qualifying rounds
FWD 4 cylinder D-series Hondas only
OEM frame, no tube chassis, no one piece front ends, no wheelie bars
DOT tires only, slicks prohibited
Open exhaust allowed

Pricing:
$20 for test and tune racer
$30 for competition racer
$15 for spectators ($13 with flier coupon).
This is an Import only event and racers get tons of passes. Even after eliminated, you can still run test and tune.
Payouts:
This class will have a "Jackpot" prize instead of just a trophy. Entry fee is still $30/class, but 100% of the entry fees for the D-Series class will go to payouts for 1st and 2nd place. 1st will receive 2/3 of the jackpot, 2nd will receive 1/3 of the jackpot. Another words, if 10 cars ($300 worth) enter the D-Series class, $200 will be awarded to first, $100 to second.
COMPETITION DRAG CLASSES AND PAYOUTS
FWD Quick 8 $1000 (FWD 4 cyl only, slicks and open exhaust OK)
Street Class Quick 8 $800 (4/6 cyl, or rotary only, DOT tires and muffler required)
All Motor Quick 4 $400 (4/6 cyl or rotary, n/a engines only, slicks & open exhaust OK)
Bracket 14.99 and Faster $200 (any import or sport compact)
Bracket 15.00 and Slower $200 (any import or sport compact)
Motorcycle Bracket $100 (any motorcycle of import origin)
*full fields required for full payout. Full = 8 cars for Quick 8 classes, 4 cars for Quick 4 classes.

The Import Face Off website will (or should) have details on what you can race... If you can't find info, email the promoter.
