my b18 has severe black ---- all over it. Engine degreaser just doesn't cut it. What method do you guys use?

 

after some degreaser, i usually bust out a bush and clean the oil and dirt off the best i can. have you tried some brake clean?

 

that's a good idea.. havent tried it.

 

nothing... i just bolted my motor in with 90% of the dirt still on it...

 

i respect that, its just gonna get dirty again. but when you put so much money into it, you wanna make look like its worth that money.

 

werd, but i'm not putting much into my b18. just running it bone stock in my crx. if and/or when it blows i'll get a d series and boost the ---- out of it. Not sure I want to boost the b series, once i get it in the car, and running.. i'll probably want the boost though.

 

yeah, thats what they all say ... but a b18 will be nice for normal everyday driving

I used 4 bottles of Carb cleaner on a whole engine that was covered in oil.. Works awesome!

 

I usually go to the locar car wash ($3.00 for 7 munites). I spray that green engine cleaner on to the engine bay for 3 minutes, let it sit for 2 and wash it for 2 usually removes 90% of all the grease and dirt.
