Default The best clutch EvERrr! (NOT)

Well this all started last week when i was street tuning the rex. In the middle of a hard third gear pull me and my buddy heard the worst noise come from my tranny and the car just rolled to a stop. It wouldn't go in any gears at all, and it made all kinda ---- up noises when trying to put it in gear. I was pretty sure the trans went out, it had been giving me all kind of problems anyway.

Well i woke up today and thought i would fix the rex since i got a new trans and all. Pulled the trans out. Then went to replace the flywheel since i had suspicion that mine was warped, and BAM! Found this. Son of a bitch

This was an ACT disc. Anybody ever seen anything like this? The splines on the tranny are still in perfect shape. No lie. This clutch has been in the car for quite some time now, but it hasn't been dumped on. Yeah i drove it hard but never really dumped the clutch at all. Maybe once :P. Whats strange is that there was never a sign of this happing. It seems as if the clutch would have slip every now and then are something. The trans did make a knocking noise at idle sometimes, but it would go away if my foot was always on the clutch. Anyways enough with this i need a ------- clutch disc.

Is it that you have a 90-91 B series tranny and you used a 92-93 clutch? Thats the only thing I can see doing that.

My ACT 6 puck tossed the springs out of it and then sheared the center.

That's what I've heard. I bought it for $40 brand new at the time and thought it was a great deal. Lasted around 4 months and did that. My friend runs the 6 puck unsprung, and every ACT one he gets always ends up breaking the material off the disc.
