i broke two act clutches, the first time i figured it was a freak accident and ACT was still a good company, so i bought another street disk, put 6k on it makign around 170tq and it was completely burned out and parts had cracked off. ---- ACT.

i've had no problems the two act clutches i've owned, but obviously that doesn't excuse what happened to your clutch if it indeed wasn't an install error. give ACT a call and see what they have to say, i'd imagine they'd like to check it out.

What kind of noise is yours making? Mine did make a knock type noise almost all the time unless i keep my foot on the clutch peddle.

there pressure plates take beatings have never had one fail

my old hd plate which served rappings forover 4 years on my dd rocked a turbo d on 15 pounds and 23 in slicks without any problems once

again there problem has been the puck style disc

Alot of the puck style clutches fail due to people driving them like stock clutches. They also fail due to well poor designs but its not just act.

I have seen every brand fail. ACT has been by far the best clutcxh company I have seen and why they went from a whole in wall shop in lancaster into the largest clutch company for import/compact cars

if there product was so bad I wouldnt have used them in cutomers builds, friends builds and my own builds

after 100,000's of miles on builds I have been around

not one act pressure plate has failed before it should. If it lasts a couple years of rapping on the streets it did its job

2 disc have failed. 2 out of a total of proably 100+.
