Hey guys. I'm trying to make a trade with this kid, and he said he just got an AEM management system, and wanted to know if the 3 bar sensor will work with it. I honestly don't know if you need a 3 bar or not when you have the AEM EMS so I was wondering if you guys could give me an answer so I can let this kid know. Thx

Any map sensor will work with the AEM if you know the right numbers to put in...lots of them are already in their map sensor wizard as well.

 

I don't even understand what you are talking about.

The AEM does not "need" a 3bar as you said earlier, but it can use one like chris said.

 

Well, he's going to be boosting his car I'm assuming with alot, considering he was asking about the 3 bar. I was just wondering if the AEM can maybe override the stock MAP sensor so that you don't need to buy a 2.5 or 3 bar sensor. As long as it will work with the AEM, I can sell it to him. Thx

 

The computer needs some type of sensor to indicate the pressure. So you need a sensor, if you go above the stock sensors level you need another sensor that will read the higher levels, you can't just "override" it.
