Lots of mods usually means lots of problems for DSM's. Damn but it looks fast broken down though.

AHAHAHA sooooooo true. I found out the hard way on that one lol. Bought a 2G with a 6 bolt swap and the guy had just hacked it to hell. The good thing was that I was forced to learn how to work on cars and the end result was that I fell in love with DSM's. True they're cantankerous, but after you do ALL the recomended maintenance and unfuck other people's mistakes they end up being quite the street/strip machine. Not many other 2.0L can handle 600whp+ on stock internals like a 6 bolt 4G63. There's something to be said for that. They get a bad rap because dumbass kids buy them and do a hack job at fixing/modding/maintaining them and always mod before they maintain and of course a 10-15 year-old car is gonna have issues when you're running around at 20psi on the same timing belt it came from the factory with lol.

OH gawd that red civic? That thing has been passed around more times than Jenna Jameson rofl. Never did get it to run right. There are some crazy 4G swaps though man. There's a Porsche 911 rolling around with a BUILT 4G63, Buschur has that old *** pick-up with a 4G, I've even seen one in an Izuzu Impulse and a Hyundai Excel rofl.

Yeah a stock Honda is the most reliable car on earth. Boost it to the power of a stock 4G63 and you immediatly run into drivetrain issues, internal problems, etc, etc. I think it should be, " I'd like to trade my car that has good characteristics and bad for another car that has pros and cons of its own"

I am by no means calling a DSM as reliable as a Honda stock for stock, but there are things that a DSM can do that a Honda fails miserably at. Like launching and handling over 30psi on a stock internalled 100k mile motor.
