i just got done helping my cousin do 4 new rotors/pads on his 2001 2.0 jetta and let me tell you, if you gave me $10,000 dollar signing bonus, i would never ever work as a volks tech. that ---- was horrid. i will never ever touch one of those piles of ---- ever again. it took nearly the whole day to replace the brakes and spark plugs as they are buried undewr the intake mani and need a special "boot remover". the ---- is gay as ---- and i never wish any of this upon any of you. i wish i could buy one just to push off a cliff. thank you

 

yeah...and bumblebee from transformers was a vw.....nuff said.

 

i tried to work on a girls jetta 2001 I think and it was ------- rough as ----
I used to bitch about honda but the ***** ------- made everything impossible to get to and added an obscene amount of unnecessarily complicated and faulty wiring and ---- to everything

 

Im a mechanic, I now have a VW, It needs a tune up, and will probly need one for a while

 

did i mention that there is a sensor that detects anytime you ---- with the brakes. so now he is freaking out about the brake light that continues to blink and beep inside the cluster. you need to bring it somewhere so they can clear it... how ------- retarded is that.

I've worked on every gen but V, they're all easy, from mech fuel injected 8v's to vr6'es to 1.8t's. hardest thing on a vw is the axles.

 

I use to have a 90 16v GLi. It wasn't much different than a Honda to work on, the only pain in the *** I found was trying to replace the t-stat. Mt dad has a 04 Passat Turbo, I've never worked on it but the engine was so full of plastic panels I couldn't even see the turbo.

 

I did a rad in a carrodo, up intill then I wanted a vr6 turbo bug that had the "beatle cup" body kit........................... no thanks, air cooled dubs only.
