We were sheeting a roof today w/ this other kind of plywood called vantek board. I guess it was cheaper so the boss bought it.. it's more ideal for flooring. anyway, it doesn't have a rough side like regular plywood, and my damn paslode nail gun came loose from my tool belt and was sliding down the side of this roof of this building so i go running after it (500.00 gun). I jump and slide and grab the gun but i could stop in time and fell off the damn bulding. Luckily it was only like a 13 foot drop but i had alot of speed in the fall.. i landed on my feet but my legs are sore as ----. Boss wasn't there thank god he would have wondered why i "didn't have my company harness on (gay)". anyway, yeah it woulda sucked if i woulda snagged my leg on something on the way down and landed head first.

why is a harness gay? i have to wear a harness at my job alot. its not that gay when its keepin your from falling down 12 stories of decks cuz your right on the edge and there is no barracade.

lol the gun fell in a puddle of water and mud. it actually still works but my manager took it apart and cleaned it all out. yeah, i told the guys at work that, now they know how dedicated to my work I am, that i'd risk my own life for a damn company nail gun. hahahaha

 

13 feet is still high enough to break yuor neck. You got lucky.

 

Yeah, it's a good thing i only weigh 140 lbs. a big guy would have had a hard fall.
