Default nooby question

ok dont know how it is here but at honda-tech no one will answer. i have or getting a z6 bottom end wit a y8 head. i have a 89 civic std and got the wiring harness from a 91 si. what is best to use the 89 or si harness. do i really need a conversion kit? what all do i need to do to get this motor in my car? and i forgot a have a 91 si ecu also. can i use that and have something like a rpm peel or shift light to activate vtec? this help would be greatly appreciated its my daily driver and this is the cheapest alternative i have at the moment. also a hydro to cable transmission conversion. you know where or how i could do this?

thanks
evam

chip the 91 ecu for vtec, use the std harness but convert it to mpfi (rape the 91 harness for its plugs) I have never seen a hydro conversion for d series. All this has been coverd before 100000000000 times, search here or more so H-T you will find it.
