A pretty nooby question
I might aquire a '91 crx si pretty soon, and I'm having all kinds of boosted D16 filled dreams. I'm just researching engine management options right now. I was thinking of this (now here comes the noob part) tell me what you guys think:
J&S-mmm sooo sexy
Bosch pump-they're supposed to be top notch
B&M fpr-looks good in purple
or
vortech fmu-don't know too much about fmu's
And of course I'm getting stuff like new plugs and wires. And for boost management I was thinking of some sort of manual boost controll, or maybe some wastegate mods.

ghettodyne! for less than the price of the stuff you listed you can have full tuning capabilites of your fuel and ignition. i just ordered my eeprom burner just so i can have it ready for when i piece my turbo kit together. read up on it!

I haven't really read up on Ghettodyne. Will you guys fill me in. Like can it do boost dependent timing retards, or rise the fuel pressure like a fmu. I want to get into chip burning. I would be the first in my area.

Re:A pretty nooby question
Yes, in a way Gehttodyne can retard your ignition as boost rises. You just have to map your ignition table as such.
As for raising the fuel pressure, you won't have to. You can take up to 12psi on a stock fuel pump. Using 450cc injectors, and doing a slight (if at all) recurve of your fuel table, you can run these with the latest boost enabled version of Ghettodyne.
This latest version relieves the need for a MAP sensor signal scaling device, such as an AFC, or another other device. The scalling is done through the hooking the MAP sensor code in the ROM.
Downside to this, is right now, there is a slight problem with hiccups in the boost transition at 20, 10 and 0 vac. This is being looked into and will be cured in later versions.
