obd1 and obd2 civic o2 sensors the same?

Default obd1 and obd2 civic o2 sensors the same?
would a secondary (after cat ) o2 sensor from a 96 dx work as a primary in a 94 ex? i think the plugs are the same

well its in and no CEL, still not sure if thats ok though, but im guessing there universal
