Ok so i just got done swapping my entire dash to another. In the process we took out both aribags, all srs wiring harness, and the brain. installed itr non srs wheel, and cf blockoff plate. I also finally installed a vx cluster with tach.

my question is. first off my srs stays on. can i just unplug that from the back of the cluster or take out the bulb



and above all... wtf. im redlining at 4.5k rpm?? wtf is that ----? I have obd1 sohc zc, and im still using stock dx p06 ecu. what would cause that? Do I just need to get uberdata and have the redline changed or what?

not trying to go boost with only 4500 rpms to play with lol.

What was wrong with your old dash? Did you change the wiring behind the dash too? I think you just did more then what was needed.

 

Well I bought a black front interior from a friend. while I know most of you are performance freaks. Its not like I added rims, bodykits, such and so forth. I wanted my interior in black, so I got it. We took out my dash. swapped over the dash harness. took out all of the srs harness and its brain. and reinstalled everything. saved some weight, its looks better, and i have a tach lol. who needs airbags harnesses and a rollcage are just as nice lol.

ok well. so far i fixed the lights issue. it was just a bad dimmer switch. i took out the srs bulb. but now my idle changes. on its own, sometimes my revlimit hits at 4500, then sometimes 48-900, or 5500. So im just going to get the ecu checked, and have it chipped with uberdata and get a basemap done

 

Sounds like you have ground issues.

 

where should I start? any typical spots to check first?

lol not really. air bag does more damage to you than my cage and harnesses will do.
