how gay...
Ok so i got to bleed the brakes today on my 92 prelude si... and what do ya know, the damn bleeder valve snaps in half! What a day i tell ya after having a tire blow up in my face at work.. (pics will be posted later) But yeah.. So my question is, what caliper will work for this prelude? What one from an accord? Anyone have one? Four wheel disk by the way.
vice grips, heat, and PB blaster own u. If you live in an area that gets salt then you know better and put a LITTLE heat to the bleeders before you try to break them loose. remeber, you dont want to melt the seals inside the caliper. I bet you can fix that with the above mentioned stuff, unless it broke flush w/ the caliper. Then you need to use those reverse drill bit thingies instead of vice grips. Try to save it before you buy new ones. Also people think that bleeders need to be torqued to 150,000 ft-lbs, all it needs is just snug so it doesnt leak. If you get a leak, chances are that theres something keeping it from sealing properly, not that its not tight enough. Also, when you buy new bleeders, put some anti-sieze on the threads so it doesnt happen again. Good luck.
