i did it before in a desktop.. but not a laptop..

also.. i heard its not good to mix and match.. u should have either all pc100 or 133

As long as they have the same pins, I'm almost certain you can. The PC133 ram will just run at PC100 speeds. Thats how it works on desktop motherboards.

all ram should be backward compatible as long as it the same pins. EX PC3100 will work in a PC2100 machine

this is what i was told by the guy i bought my RAM from

what does backwards compatible mean?

ive put ram into a laptop and a desktop before where all the pins matched up but the memory wasnt recognized..

Try it, might work fine, might crap out on ya. We have shitty computers and work and some of them sure don't like pc2700 RAM. Were ordering some pc2100, which should fix the problem.
